I’m Claire Lovelace, Clinical Director at Avenues Physio-Fitness with over 30 years' experience helping people move better and recover with confidence. With dual Masters in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy and Sports Science, I specialise in lower limb rehab and complex cases—combining hands-on care, exercise, and clear guidance to support lasting, meaningful results.
Claire Lovelace is the principal physiotherapist at Avenues Physio-Fitness, and the Clinical Director. She is an exceptionally experienced clinician with over 30 years of clinical practice.
Her skills include helping clients of all ages and abilities from the sporting elite to those with movement challenges.
Claire has dual qualifications at Masters level in both Musculo-skeletal Physiotherapy and advanced Sports Science. Following her Masters, Claire has a special interest in lower limb biomechanics, focusing on specific return to sport
strengthening post lower leg and Achilles tendon injury. Her clinics regularly involve second opinions for complex cases. She uses hands on physiotherapy and exercise prescription to assist you reach your movement goals.
Claire is a member of the executive committee of Sport and Exercise Physiotherapy NZ and Sports Medicine BOP and provides mentoring to physiotherapists throughout the country.
Claire has fostered a team culture within Avenues Physio-Fitness of inclusivity, and
encourages her team to make decisions with patient goals at front of mind. She is
excited to bring these skills and those of the Avenues Physio-Fitness Team to the
Tauranga CBD.
